Lena Elizabeth Duball, age 81, of Monona, Iowa died Wednesday, January 26, 2000 in the Memorial Hospital of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2000 at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, both of McGregor, Iowa.

Lena was born on July 9, 1918 in Allamakee County, Iowa to Gephard and Reva (Gilson) Meskimen. She attended rural school. She married Harold Duball on April 5, 1936 at Monona, Iowa. They lived in Ft. Madison, Iowa for several years before moving to McGregor, Iowa. They later moved to Monona, Iowa in 1978.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,Harold, on March 13, 1979; twin daughters, Patricia Lee and Betty Lou; granddaughter, Lesa Pratt, and one sister, Evelyn Hanson.

She is survived by 3 sons, Harold "Bill" (Aline) Duball of Brunswick, Maine, James Duball of Farmersburg, Iowa and Jerry (Kay) Duball of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Berns of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and Lorraine Steoger of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and 1 brother, Richard Steiber of Mechanicsville, Maryland.
