Milton Hamann

Milton Edward Hamann was born October 10, 1920, in Allamakee County, Iowa, to parents Edward and Selma Bruehahn Hamann. He was baptized February 19, 1921 and confirmed March 15, 1936 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona. He received his education in country school and Luana Public School.

Milton served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1945 to 1947. He returned to the Monona area and worked at Sinclair Oil Service Station and later Pronto Sinclair until retiring in November, 1982.

Milton died, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa, Wednesday, December 27, 1989 following a brief illness.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Surviving are two sisters, Florence Schroeder of Monona and Laura Duvel of Postville; one niece and six nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 30, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. at Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona. Pastor Harold O. Ward officiating. Burial in Monona City Cemetery, Monona. Pallbearers were Larry Schroeder, Jerry Schroeder, James Duvel, Gary Gress, Thomas Moses, and Donald Bacon. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, Iowa, in charge of services.
