David Glenn died at his home in this city Friday evening after a lingering illness, the Waukon Democrat relates, bringing to the family a double bereavement, as only a month has intervened since the death of Mrs. Glenn.

He was 65 years of age, having been born in Dauphin county, Penn., Sept 28, 1841. He was twice married, two children of his first union and five of his second being the surviving members of the family.

Mr. Glenn was a civil war veteran, having served under Gen. Sheridan as a member of the 17th Penn. Cavalry.

The funeral was held Sunday, the remains being taken to the Minert cemetery in Post township for interment.
