Dr. Thomas D. Clark, age 84, of Atrium Village, Hills, Iowa, died April 1, 1987 at Atrium Village following a long illness. Services were held Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hills. Burial was at the Postville, Iowa Cemetery, also on Saturday.

Dr. Clark was the son of William and Anna (Fitzgerald) Clark. He was born on May 16, 1902 in Postville, Iowa. He graduated from Postville High School in 1920 and then attended the University of Iowa until 1923. He received his medical degree from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. After finishing his internship at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa. In 1928 he established a medical practice in Victor, Iowa. He retired from private practice in 1952 and joined the staff of the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Knoxville, retiring in 1972.

He married Ella Mae Ryan on April 5, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. She died April 10, 1980. He moved to Atrium Village in 1981. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Ethel Steele and Irene Bernhard.

Survivors include a son, Thomas B. Clark of Iowa City, Iowa and 2 daughters, Mrs. Mary (David) Goodyear of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Mrs. Marjorie Harris of Plymouth, Minnesota; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
