Memorial services for Dorothea (Stock) Medary were held Thursday, November 21 at 3 p.m. at the Lodi Funeral Home in Lodi, California. Her remains will be sent to the National Military Cemetery of the Pacific, where her husband George Medary is buried.*

Dorothea was born to Theodore and Katherine (Bieber) Stock on February 22, 1899 in Waukon, Iowa, baptized in Zion Reformed Church by Rev. G. D. Elliker, and confirmed in 1914 by E. H. Vornholt. She received her education in the Waukon school, graduating with the class of 1917. She graduated from Rockford College, Rockford, Illinois. She married George Medary in June of 1922 in Waukon, Iowa.

She died in Lodi, California on November 18, 1985. She is survived by two children, Katherine (Medary) Snelling of Gualala, California and William "Bill" Medary of Fort Worth, Texas; 5 grandchildren and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
