Funeral services were held for Ernest R. Kolsrud, age 67, of Hemet California on September 24, 1987 in California. He was born near Waterville, Iowa on January 25, 1920 to Almer and Gunda (Olson) Kolsrud. He died on September 19, 1987. He worked as an engineer for 37 years at Aero-Jet General and later he had his own firm, Kogent Engineering.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Alton Kolsrud.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; 2 sons, James Kolsrud of Falls Church, Virginia and Daniel Kolsrud of Studio City, California and a daughter, Dinah Rose of Big Bear Lake, California; and 4 grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Ron Reetz; and 2 aunts Mrs. Alma Kolsrud and Anna Kolsrud, both of Waukon, Iowa and many cousins who live in the Waukon, Iowa area.
