Marjorie Ann Waldron, age 64, died at her home in Waukon, Iowa Sunday August 16, 1987. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Larry Duenas officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Paul Anderson, Bob McDonald, Frank Hager, LeRoy McCabe, George Haler, and Richard Gearhart.

Marjorie was born April 18, 1923 in Allamakee County to George and Viola (Gordonier) Leet. She attended Waukon High School and Waukon Junior College. On February 22, 1944 she married William Waldron in Waukon, Iowa. She was a homemaker, a caterer at Waldron's Bakery, Waukon, Iowa since the 1940's, a member of the VFW auxiliary and St. Patrick's Catholic Church where she was active in the Rosary Society. She was particularly well known for catering meals at the Waukon Golf and County Club, which started in 1947 and continued for 30 years. The catering service also was called upon for most large area banquets during that period.

She was preceded in death by a brother Albert Leet and a sister Mildred.

Surviving are her husband, William; 7 daughters, Mrs. Ed (Janie) Votroubek of Lake Forest, California, Mrs. James (Kathy) Fossum of Winona, Minnesota, Mrs. Monte (Sue) Smith of Ogden, Utah, Mrs. Alan (Wendy) Snitker, Gwen, and Mrs. Dan (Jane) Sivesind, all of Waukon, Iowa, and Peggy of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 sons, Dennis Waldron of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Greg Waldron of Rochester, Minnesota, and Rick Waldron of Blue Springs, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Lulu Livingood of Waukon, Iowa and Mrs. Ethel Paulson of Clermont, Iowa.
