Grace Bresnahan, age 73, of Newton, Iowa died Saturday, November 14, 1987 in a Newton hospital. Funeral services have been set for Wednesday, November 18 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 19 at 10 a.m. in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa with Wallace-Pence Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.

Grace was born January 13, 1914 in Waukon, Iowa to Floyd and Blanche (McCracken) Burnham. On January 12, 1938 she married Leslie Bresnahan in Waukon, Iowa. He died in 1948. She had been an employee of the Automatic Washer Company and Hy-Vee Food store in Newton before retiring in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a grandson, her sister Verena and 2 brothers Earl Bevis Burnham and Ray Burnham.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Walter (Cleone) Johnson of Mingo, Iowa; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Charles Burnham and Curtis Burnham, both of Sparta, Wisconsin.
