Mrs. Al (Ivona) Burg, age 64, died Thursday, November 12, 1987 at her home in Waukon, Iowa. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Roger Burg, Val Palen, Bill Sullivan, Greg Weichert, John Brady, and Steve Grohman.

Ivona was born January 1, 1923 in Caledonia, Minnesota to Joseph and Agatha (Ellenz) Greisch. On September 27, 1947 she married Al P. Burg in Caledonia, Minnesota. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick's Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 5 sons, Philip Burg, Paul Burg, David Burg, Michael Burg, and Joseph Burg, and a daughter, Mary Burg; 10 grandchildren: Kimberly, Kelley, Eric, Andrew, Theresa, Andrea, Lisa, Gina, Kristin, and Steven; a brother Joe Greisch and 2 sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Wagner and Mrs. Naomi Grohman.
