Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Word was received locally of the death of Mrs. Leonard (Flossie McMillin) Peters Saturday, March 28, 1987 at Hanley, Saskatchewan, Canada. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 1 at the Hanley United church with burial in the Hanley cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Leonard; 2 sons, James and Loren Peters; and 2 grandchildren; a brother Glen McMillin of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada and 2 sisters, Opal Smythe, also of Moose Jaw and Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Deeney of Waukon, Iowa.
Dale Robey took Mrs. Joseph Deeney to LaCrosse, Wisconsin Sunday morning where she went by bus to Moose Jaw to attend the services.
Transcriber note: The obituary of Florence's (Flossie) step-sister, Irene Deeney, it states that Irene was born in New Albin. The family lived there until the mother re-married and they moved to Saskatchewan in 1929. (see also the obit for Irene Deeney)
