Carl Bernhard Peterson, age 84, died Thursday, April 2, 1987 at Northgate Care Center. Funeral services were held Monday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at East Paint Synod Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark DeGarmeaux officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Roger Peterson, Norman Peterson, Amos Pederson, Robert Larson, Darrell Busness, Truman Ellefson, Willard Leiran, and Rick Larson.

Carl was born July 11, 1902 in Allamakee County, Iowa to John E. and Hilda J. (Hanson) Peterson. He attended local rural schools and married Esther Busness on September 10, 1934 in Freeport, Illinois. He was a carpenter all his working life. He retired in 1975. He was a member of East Paint Synod Lutheran Church and a lifelong resident of Waterville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by a sister Ada Peterson and 6 brothers, Herman Peterson, Roy Peterson, Selmer Peterson, Clarence Peterson, Thomas Peterson, and Tennis Peterson.

Survivors include his wife and a sister Mabel Christenson of Waterville, Iowa.
