Frances J. Speth, age 54, of Waukon, Iowa died Sunday, June 15, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, Iowa. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18 at Martin Funeral Chapel with Father Boschert officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Mike Byers, Gary Nelson, Gary Robinson, Kevin Honn, Steven Honn, Tom Waters, and Kermit Miller.

Francis was born May 10, 1932 in Madison, Wisconsin to Joseph and Julia (Hoffman) Speth. He attended Madison schools. He married Eileen Livingood on June 16, 1984 in Waukon, Iowa. He was a trucker. He was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He served in the Korean War and was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; his parents, 3 daughters, Judy and Linda Speth of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and Mrs. Pam Klosinski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; step-children, Cathy Troendle of Waukon, Iowa, Mrs. Tom (Debbie) Waters of New Albin, Iowa, Kevin Honn, of Palo, Iowa, Steven Honn of Louisiana, Gary Robinson, Ronald Byers, Mike Byers, and Greg Byers, all of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jerry Speth of Madison, Wisconsin and Joe Speth of Texas.
