Catherine J. Grady, age 70, of Waukon, Iowa died Wednesday, June 18, 1986. Services were held Saturday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Larry Duenas officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waukon, Iowa with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Ronnie Bruns, John Kaeser, Keith Grady, K.C. Rooney, Mick Rooney, and James Rooney.

Catherine was born May 30, 1916 in Watertown, South Dakota to James and Margaret (McGeough) Rooney. She attended Hanover School in Allamakee County, Iowa. She married Cyril Grady at St. Patrick's Church in Waukon. *no date listed*. Cyril died in April of 1986.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Jean Lerch, and a sister, Marie Bruns.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Grady of Wauzeka, Wisconsin, Charles Grady of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Terrence Grady of Luana, Iowa; 2 daughters, Shirley Ambrose of Waverly, Iowa and Mary Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Rooney of Keystone, Iowa, and 3 brothers Frances Rooney of Steuben, Wisconsin, George Rooney of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Cletus Rooney of Waukon, Iowa.
