Services for Edward M. Donahue, age 83, of Parkview Gardens Care Center, Waterloo, Iowa were held Friday, June 20 at noon at St. Pius Catholic Church, Rossville, Iowa with burial in Cherry Mound Cemetery, rural Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Richardson Funeral Home, Waterloo, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Donahue died Tuesday, June 17, 1986 at the care center in Waterloo, Iowa. He was born October 31, 1902 in Allamakee County, son of John and Margaret (Donahue) Donahue *as listed in the paper* He married Violet Sawvell. He farmed in the Waukon Junction and Waterloo areas for many years before he retired.

He was preceded in death by a son Edward Michael Donahue.

He is survived by 4 sons: Joe Donahue of Dubuque, Iowa, John Donahue of Waterville, Iowa, Jim Donahue of Waukegan, Illinois, and Jerry Donahue of Tucson, Arizona; 8 daughters, Mrs. Merlin (Mary) Troendle of Lansing, Iowa, Mrs. James (Marjorie) Trewnick of Zion, Illinois, Mrs. John (Marcella) Palade of Waukegan, Illinois, Mrs. James (Monica) Edgar of Waterloo, Iowa, Mrs. John (Margaret) Elin of Torrance, California, Madonna Walsh of Evansdale, Iowa, Mrs. David (Maureen) Graeber of Waterloo, Iowa, and Mrs. Lyle (Marilyn) Kenney of McHenry, Illinois; 35 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
