Ewald H. Geuder, age 82, died Thursday, May 22, 1986 at his home in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Saturday, May 24 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lynn Groe officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lansing, Iowa with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were George Ferring, Carlton Christianson, David Fensterman, Owen Pufahl, Nick Luft, and Rollie Natvig. Honorary pallbearers were LeRoy Schmidt, Morris Svendson, Kenneth O'Brien, Roy Loven, Milton Schneider, and Arden Iverson.

Ewald was born February 1, 1904 in Guttenberg, Iowa Clayton County to Ernest and Elizabeth (Seiple) Geuder. He attended the Guttenberg High School for normal training and barber college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Marcella Halverson on November 25, 1943 in Waukon, Iowa. He taught school for nine years in Clayton County, Iowa and was a barber for 32 years. He lived in the Guttenberg area until 1943 when he moved to Waukon, Iowa. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Waukon Golf and County Club.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Herman Geuder, and Gus Geuder, and 3 sisters, Alma, Henrietta, and Lydia.

Surviving are his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Hilda) Pufahl of Guttenberg, Iowa and Mrs. Olga Luft of Delavan, Illinois.
