Note of the transcriber: I was a student at the Waterville School in the 1950's when Mabel and Fern Johnson were the cooks. They were excellent cooks, making everything from scratch including cinnamon rolls, beef vegetable soup, fried chicken, and creamed chicken/or beef stew on baking powder biscuits. I can not remember any meal that was bad!
