Howard J. ReVoir, age 72, of Lansing, Iowa died Tuesday, February 25, 1986. Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Lansing, Iowa at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 28 with the Rev. Tom Mattson officiating. Masonic rites were held on Thursday February 27 at the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Robert
Teff, John Goettel, Gene ReVoir, Gene Glomski, Kenneth Wendel, and Ronald Hogan. Honorary pallbearers were John Carter, Francis Pettit, Art Cole, Ben Irons, Jack Sweeney, and Clyde Roeder.

Howard was born February 12, 1914 in Winona, Minnesota to James and Mollie (Dascher) ReVoir. He moved to Lansing with his parents in 1930. He married Martha Wendel on May 18, 1938 in the Calvary Evangelical Church in Lansing, Iowa. He was a former sawmill operator, trucker, Lansing maintenance worker and police officer. He served as a volunteer fireman...*a portion of the obituary is missing because it continued into the next column *... wife, a son Bruce ReVoir of St. Paul, Minnesota; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lonnie (Karen) Hutson of Ferryville, Wisconsin, Mrs. Floyd (Arlene) Ingles of Waukon, Iowa and Mrs. Richard (Mary) Roeder of Rockford, Illinois; a brother, Gerald ReVoir of Port Huron, Michigan, 2 sisters, Mrs. Dallas (Marjorie) Stringfield of Bradenton, Florida and Mrs. Ivan (Mona) Maxwell of Port Huron, Michigan; and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son in infancy and a brother Russell ReVoir.
