Final rites for James C. Shindoll, age 28, who passed away recently *his birthdate, deathdate, and place of burial are not listed in the obituary* in Cedar Rapids, Iowa were held Saturday, September 14, 1985 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ Waukon, Iowa with the Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Ruben Shindoll, Edwin Winter, Cal Ortgies, Gordon Hansmeier, Dick Hansmeier, and Randy Goeke. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Shindoll, a 1975 graduate of Waukon Senior High School, was employed as senior systems programmer administrator at Rockwell international, Avionics group, Cedar Rapids,Iowa. He received an associate of applied science degree in computer-programming in June of 1979 from Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids; bachelor of science degree in business administration in August 1981 from Mount Mercy College, Cedar Rapids, and bachelor of arts degree in computer science in May 1983 from Coe College in Cedar Rapids. He was awarded a certificate in data processing by the Institute for Certification of Computer Professionals in May of 1984.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Lea Shindoll, his grandparents Aaron Shindoll and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Winter.

Survivors include his parents, Calvin and Margaret (Winter) Shindoll; his sisters, Mrs. Don (Jan) Ellingson and Mrs. Randy (Mary Jo) Nordheim, all of Waukon, Iowa, and Carol Intlekofer, Cheyenne, Wyoming; his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Shindoll of Waukon, Iowa; nieces and nephews, John and Donna Ellingson, Nicholas and Shelby Nordheim, all of Waukon, Iowa, and Tom and Casey Intlekofer of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
