Harris E. Wild, age 72, of rural Lansing, Iowa died Monday, March 17, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19 at Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Milton Kading officiating. Casket bearers were Kenneth Reiser, Burton Wild, Roger Weymiller, James Waters, Daniel Bulman, and Robert Zezulka. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Harris was born in Allamakee County, Iowa on September 17, 1913 to Edward and Maude (Piers) Wild. He attended local schools. He married Evelyn Weymiller on March 3, 1937 at the home of the bride's parents. He was a farmer, a member of the Mt.Hope Presbyterian Church, the New Albin rural Fire board, and Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; 3 daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Betty) Larson, Mrs. Donald (Charlene) Grady of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, and Karen Nolting of South Beloit, Illinois; and 3 sons, Richard Wild, Randy Wild, and Robert Wild, all of Lansing, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Keith Wild of Sorrento, Florida, and Walter Wild of New Albin, Iowa; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ray (Lorraine) Zezulka and Mrs. Floyd (Florence) Waters, both of New Albin, Iowa and Mrs. Dale (Elaine) Reiser of Dorchester, Iowa.
