Lillian D. Knickerbocker, age 83, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin died Thursday, November 20, 1986 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. Services were held Saturday November 22 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Prairie du Chien with Rev. Burton Pratt officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa with Garrity Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lillian was born December 18, 1902 in Guttenberg, Iowa to James and Martha (Davis) Spores.* Based on the obituaries of her brothers, the family was living in the Lansing, Iowa area by 1913.* In May of 1920 she married Reuben Knickerbocker at Lynxville, Wisconsin. They lived in Waukon before moving to Prairie du Chien.

Reuben Knickerbocker died in 1967. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Cora Spores, Audrey Knight, and Blanche Schleicher, and her brothers, Alfred, Roy, and James Spores.

She is survived by a son, Gary Knickerbocker and a daughter, Agnes Parker, both of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a sister Alba Kudart of Decorah, Iowa and 4 brothers, Spencer Spores of Dorchester, Iowa, Harold Spores and Donald Spores, both of Waukon, Iowa and Glen Spores, of West Union, Iowa.
