Marian Charlotte Raby, age 73, died Sunday, February 28, 1988 at her home in Boulder, Colorado. Funeral services in Boulder were held Tuesday, March 1 at 4 p.m. at Howe Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. John Hess officiating. Services in Waukon have been set for Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church with Pastor Lane Zaffke conducting the services. Burial will be in Mt.Hope Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers are Joe, Tom, and Jim Hartley, and Neal, Bob, and Paul Sadler.

Marian was born October 9, 1914 in Allamakee County to Joseph and Carrie L. (Howes) Hartley. She attended Waukon High School and married Victor Raby August 30, 1938 in Waukon, Iowa. He died December 25, 1945. She had lived in Waukon and California before moving to Colorado in 1946. She was a homemaker, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Boulder, Queen Esther Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and past president of American Legion Auxiliary in Santa Maria, California.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Joseph Hartley, Albert Hartley, and Charles Hartley; two sisters, Ethel Hartley and Belle Hartley. Surviving are nieces and nephews.
