Richard Hagemeier

Richard P. Hagemeier, 34, of DeKalb, IL, and formerly of Clinton and Postville, IA, died Sunday, April 21 at his home.

He was born July 26, 1956 in Waukon, IA, the son of Edward P. and JoAnn (Green) Hagemeier. He was employed as a plater for Armology of Illinois in DeKalb. He was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville and attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in DeKalb. He was a former member of the U. S. Army Iowa National Guard, and a member of the DeKalb Prairie Rose Society.

He is survived by his parents of Clinton, IA; 2 sisters, Edith (Dennis) Ottens, Fulton, IL and Linda (Lee) Cook, Gig Harbor, WA; 4 brothers, Kevin (Julie) Hagemeier, Camanche, IA, Craig (Chris) Hagemeier, Edwin (Traci) Hagemeier, and Mark Hagemeier, all of DeKalb; 2 grandmothers, Ethel Green, Postville and Esther Hagemeier, Sioux Falls, SD and 4 nieces and 6 nephews. He was preceded by his grandfathers and one brother, Alan.

A Memorial was held Saturday, April 27 at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral home, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL with Rev. Howard Jacobson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, DeKalb, officiating.
