Oscar B. Anderson, age 94, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin died Friday, January 27, 1989 at Rice Lake Convalescent Center. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 1 at Stanfold Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dale Svendsen officiating. Military rites by the Rice Lake American Legion were at Nora Cemetery.

Oscar was born June 11, 1894 in Waterville, Iowa and at the age of 15 he moved to Rice Lake, Wisconsin with his parents. He was a sawyer in logging camps in the area and later built grain storage elevators in the West. After serving in the Army, he worked in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a carpenter. On May 3, 1924 he married Linda Falck in Minneapolis. The moved to Stanfold, Wisconsin where they farmed until retiring in 1975.

Surviving are his wife, a sister, Thorine Christianson of Waukon, Iowa and nieces and nephews.
