Funeral services were held Sunday, June 18 for Louise Elizabeth Belverud, age 69, of Dorchester, Iowa. She died Thursday, June 15, 1989 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The 3 p.m. services were held at Haugen-Roble Funeral Chapel in Caledonia, Minnesota. Graveside services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at Meadowridge Park Cemetery in Faribault, Minnesota with the Rev. Irwin Young officiating.

Louise was born August 7, 1919 in Lonsdale, Minnesota to Thomas and Edith (Raye) Myhre and attended school in the Lonsdale-Lakeville, Minesota areas. In 1939 she married Earl Clausen. He died January 1976.

Louise married Arnold Belverud in July 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa.*That is the marriage date given in the obituary.* She had lived in Northfield, Caledonia, and Eitzen, Minnesota areas.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and a granddaughter.

Surviving are her husband Arnold; four sons, Richard Clausen of Sarasota, Florida, Mark Belverud of Dorchester, Iowa, Gary Belverud of Decorah, Iowa, and John Belverud of Postville, Iowa; two daughters, Gladys Broderick of Northfield,Minnesota and Marlys Koster of Owatonna, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas Myhre of Milwaukee,Wisconsin, Fred Schmidt of Montana, Robert Schmidt of Faribault, Minnesota, and Donald Schmidt of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and four sisters, Myrtle Toth of International Falls, Minnesota, Florence Borwieg of Medford, Minnesota, and Eleanor Myhre of Lincoln, Nebraska.

*It is unclear if Louise and Earl Clausen divorced.*

Update of information on Louise from her son Gary, yes she did divorce Earl Clauson who was her first husband.
