Adolph J. Larson, 89, of Waukon, Iowa died Friday, May 12, 1989 at the Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15 at St.John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lynn Groe officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Tom Lensch, Harry Larson, Duane Larson, Daryl Larson, Peter Martindale, and Richard Loven.

A lifetime area resident, he was born July 5, 1899 in Allamakee County to Hans and Anna Marie (Skaim) Larson. He attended rural schools and on November 24, 1926 he married Ruth Johnson at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. He was a farmer, and a member of St.John's Church where he was also a member of Farm Bureau and Waukon Senior Citizens.

Surviving are his wife, two sisters, Nora Moen of Decorah, Iowa and Mabel Loven of Waukon, and two brothers, Harry Larson of Decorah and Leonard Larson of Waukon.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin and a sister, Ida.
