Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 1989 for Edna M. Berry, 77, of Waukon, Iowa. She died Wednesday, June 14, 1989 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The Rev. Dean Shelly will conduct the services at St.Paul's United Methodist Church with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born May 3, 1912 in rural Corning, Adams County, Iowa to Ernest and Louise (Walter) Stillinger. She graduated from the Malvern High School in 1930. She taught country school at Red Oak,Iowa for one year before her marriage October 17, 1931 to Ward M. Berry in Nebraska City, Nebraska. They moved to Waukon in February 1948 from Earlham, Iowa. She worked part-time as a sales clerk at Hale's Department Store in Waukon and was a bookkeeper at Waukon Medical Clinic for 12 years, retiring in 1977. They moved to Decorah in 1960 and returned to Waukon in 1965. She was a member of St.Paul's UMC.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cy (Joanne) Morley of Albert Lea, Minnesota; a son, LeRoy Berry of Greer, South Carolina; four grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Esther Murdock of Corning, Iowa and Mrs. Delmar (Bernice) Lovig of Villisca, Iowa, and two brothers, Clifford Stillinger of Austin, Texas, and Fred Stillinger of Kent, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died June 30, 1965 and two brothers, Ivan and Clyde Stillinger.
