Funeral services for Rosella (Pladsen) Tuberty, 87, who died September 1, 1989 were held at the Joan of Arc Church, St.Louis, Missouri on September 5 with Father Richard Young officiating. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO at the side of her husband, Lawrence Tuberty, who died November 6, 1953. Hoffermeister Colonial Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

She was born December 3, 1901 near Waterville, Iowa to Theodore and Olive (Hunstad) Pladsen. She attended rural school in Allamakee County through eighth grade, graduated from Waldorf Academy, Forest City, Iowa and attended Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa. She taught in rural schools, upper grades at Waterville and Carpenter, Iowa. She married Lawrence J. Tuberty and they moved to St.Louis where she resided until her death. She was a member of Aubuchon Dennison American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 186.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Miller and Agnes Menke, a son Lawrence Jr., all of the St.Louis area; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five sisters, Agnes Pladsen, Mavis Cook, Carol Kiesau, and Alphild O'Brien, all of Waukon.

Casket bearers were six grandsons; David and James Tuberty, James, Jeffrey, and John Miller and Steven Menke.
