Mildred A. (Mellick) Kilpatrick, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Thursday, September 28, 1989 at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, October 2 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. John Hemann officiating. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, with Teahen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mildred was born July 9, 1912 in Waukon, Iowa.*The newspaper clipping does not list the names of her parents* She married John E. Kilpatrick January 26, 1932 in Waukon. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabel, and St. Patrick Rosary Society.

Survivors in addition to her husband, are six sons, John V., Robert, and Dale, all of Cedar Rapids, Tom and Deryl, both of Palo, IA, and William of Waukon, IA; six daughters, Ann Prentice, Mary Ellen Drew, Elaine Monnahan and Evelyn Kilpatrick, all of Cedar Rapids, Virginia Cook of Minneapolis, MN, and Dorothy Kilpatrick of Waukon; a brother Urban Mellick of Waukon; 33 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda K. Kilpatrick in 1982 and a son, Gregory Kilpatrick in 1968.
