Funeral services for Jeannette Cook were held Monday, September 30, 1985 at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville. Rev. Terrance Hennesy officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Charlotte Jeannette Cook, daughter of Frank and Letta (Collins) Bloxham, was born August 24, 1909 in Franklin Township, Allamakee County. She died September 27, 1985 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, WI.

Jeannette graduated from Postville High School in 1928. October 17, 1931 she was married to Everett U. Cook in Chicago, IL. They were the parents of 2 children. Except for a few years spent in the Chicago and Waterloo areas, they have lived in Postville. Jeannette was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church and its UPW.

She is preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Lee, and Roy Bloxham and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Belle) Miller.

Surviving are her husband, Everett, a son, Noel and his wife, Rochelle of Postville, a daughter, Dixie and her husband, Roger Frantz of Gainesville, GA. 6 grandchildren, Lynn Cook Hangartner, Aaron, Collin, Corey, and Dorn Cook and Laura Frantz Putnam; 8 great-grandchildren, Robert and Ryan Hangartner, Jessica, Casey, and Cody Cook, Stephanie, Sara, and Shannon Cook; a brother-in-law, Burr Cook, 2 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Clarence (Delaney) Bloxham and Mrs. Roy (Helen) Bloxham and many nephews and nieces.

Casket bearers were Charles Fishback, Carl Meade, Donald Meyer, Marvin Winter, Richard Meyer, and Darwin Ellis.
