Cheryl L. McNally, 56, Monona, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., following a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Garden City United Methodist Church, Monona, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of arrangements. Cheryl LeAnn was born June 22, 1948, in Postville to Walter and Marjorie (Rolfs) White. She graduated from Postville High School. Cheryl was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" McNally November 12, 1966, at Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, Waukon. Two children were born to this union. Cheryl was an active member of the United Methodist Church Women and the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for Interstate Power Company, Waukon, and was a Mary Kay beauty consultant while in Hawaii. She was the chief cook and bottle washer who enjoyed working on the family farm, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, and taking care of livestock. Survivors include her husband, Ted; two children, Christine (Jason) Woods and Douglas (Peggy) McNally; four grandchildren, Josh and Cale Woods and Dani and Samantha McNally, all of Monona; her mother, Marjorie White-Kruger of Postville; three brothers, Gary (Anne) White of Dickinson, N.D., Kermit (Cathy) White of Postville, and Dan (Nooch) White of Postville; and one sister, Judy (Steve) Houdek of Anamosa. She was preceded in death by her father; her paternal and maternal grandparents; and one brother and sister in infancy, Richard and Karen White. Casketbearers were Josh Woods, Cale Woods, Dani McNally, and Samantha McNally.
