Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Donald P. Bulman, 77, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa died Tuesday, April 8, 1986, at his daughter's home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11 at St. Ann's Church in Harpers Ferry with Father John Smith officiating.
He was born May 27, 1908 to James G. and Sabina (Lavelle) Bulman of English Bench. He attended Allamakee county rural schools and married Loretta McCormick May 10, 1933 at St. Joseph's Church in Harpers Ferry. He was a farmer and a member of St.Joseph's-St.Ann's Church.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, James of Cambridge, Iowa, Anthony of Harpers Ferry, Iowa and Gerald of Austin, Texas, two daughters, Mary of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Patricia(Mrs. Bill) Moody of Harpers Ferry. Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Eldon, Roland, and George and two grandchildren.
Burial was in St. Joseph's Paint Rock cemetery with Hanson's funeral home in charge of arrangements.Casketbearers were Tim Bulman, Mike Moody, Craig Cassidy, Mike Bulman, Darrell Troendle, and Charles Berns.
