Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Lifetime area resident Edwin Thomas Andregg, 74, of Waukon, Iowa died Monday, November 13, 1989 at Veterans Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16, 1989 at 1 p.m. at St.John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Chris Clarkson officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery with Martin Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
He was born February 18, 1915 in Clayton County to Edward Charles and Mamie (Cassett) Andregg. He attended Lansing area schools through the ninth grade. In 1933, he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Co. 783 in Sheridan, Arkansas. On May 29, 1937 he married Evelyn Charlotte Glaus in West Union, Iowa. He farmed on shares for various area farmers and was employed at Halverson Implement in Waukon and the "66" station in Waukon. They moved to Waukon in 1959. She died October 13, 1978. He was a member of St. John's Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bud (Joann) Johnson, Mrs. Virgil (Rose) Snitker, both of Waukon, and Mrs. Bernard (Mary) Pausch of Canal Winchester, OH; a son, Charles Andregg of Lansing; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Ray (Blanche) Felder of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Violet Andregg of Waukon, Mrs. Don (Rachel) Rader of Xenia, OH and Rosell Andregg of Wilmington, OH, and a brother, Otto Andregg of Waukon.
Casket bearers were Michael Andregg, Thomas Christianson, Jerry Boardman, Francis Plein, Dorff Halverson, and Howard Duffy.
