Funeral services were held Monday, October 9, 1989 for former Waukon resident Alyce (Link) Christin, 59, who died Thursday, October 5, 1989 at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The noon services were held at St.Anne Church in Castle Shannon, PA. Burial was in Mt.Lebanon Cemetery with Edward B. Laughlin, Inc. funeral directors of Pittsburgh in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 29, 1930 in Waukon to Harland and Mary Link. She attended grade school and high school at St.Patrick's in Waukon graduating in 1947. She attended St.Theresa's College in Winona, MN, worked in Grand Rapids, MI, as well as Detroit, MI. On April 19, 1952, she married John J. Christin. They lived in Columbus, OH and Redondo Beach, CA before moving to Pittsburgh 16 years ago.

She was a member of Friends of Pittsburgh's Children's Museum, Associate Member of the 25 Club at Magee Women's Hospital and a volunteer in the neo-natal unit at Magee Hospital.

Surviving are her husband John of Mt. Lebanon, PA, five children, Link and John Jr., both of Shadyside, PA, Cynthia Christin of Bozeman, MT, Cathy Palumbi of Charlottesville, VA, and Tracy Parrill of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five sisters. Mary Lou Jones of Chicago, IL., Elizabeth Pascoe, LaJolla, CA. Frances Schoen of Hastings, MN, Elaine Hibbs of Moline, IL, and Barbara Dowdal of White Bear Lake, MN.
