Kathryn Ann Mohwinkle, 67, died Sunday, July 27, 1997 at her home in Topeka, Kan.
She was born Dec. 28, 1929 in Waukon to Leonard and Hazel (Riley) Campbell and graduated from St. Patrick's High School.
Feb. 9, 1948 Kathryn married Milton Mohwinkle at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon. They had lived in Oelwein, Marion and Cedar Rapids in Iowa; Plano, Texas; and Topeka.
She was a life member of the auxiliaries of VFW Post #1650 and American Legion Post #100, Topeka.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Terry of Topeka, Dennis of Plano, and Kevin of Mesquite, Texas; two daughters, Karen Perdue and Patricia Griffin of Allen, Texas; seven grandchildren; five brothers, Bud, Fr. Tom, James, Dan and Paul Campbell; and four sisters, Margaret Cornelusion, Barbara Magner, Esther Campbell and Mary "Sis" Goltz.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Michael, Mark and Bill Campbell; and a sister, Hazel Mae Burke.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 31 at St. Patrick's Church with the Right Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with arrangements by Hanson Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were her grandsons, Ryan and Chad Mohwinkle and Michael Perdue, and her brothers James, Charles and Paul Campbell.
John Campbell was the honorary casket bearer.
