Sam Weipert Sr. Dies
Samuel Weipert, 69, died at the Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 4, where he ws taken after an apparent heart attack.
He was born on February 16, 1904 at Lansing to John and Hanna Neidecker Weipert. He was a carpenter during most of his life.
Surviving are his widow Myrtle, three sons, Robert of Dubuque, Thomas of New Albin, and Samuel Jr. of Lansing, three daughters, Mrs. Douglas Dill of Racine, Wis., Mrs. Alfred Olson and Mrs. Gladys Decker of Waukon, four stepsons, Edwin Wlochal, William of Dubuque, Dale in Germany and Raymond of Milwaukee, Wis., two stepdaughters, Martha of Dubuque, and Anna at home, 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Burke Thornburg Funeral Home with Rev. John Karal officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ernie Ernest Ingles, Peter J. Rethwisch, John Ashbacher, John Iseli, Nick Strub, and George Strub.Allamakee Journal
