BROSZEIT, Agnes Cecelia
Funeral services for Agnes C. Broszeit, 76, Frankville, Iowa were held Friday, March 26, 1976 at 1:30 p.m.in the Frankville Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Roger Hawthorne officiated with burial in the Oakland Cemetery, Waukon, Iowa. Agnes passed away Tuesday, March 23, 1976 at the Winneshiek Memorial Hospital, Decorah, Iowa, following a lingering illness. The pallbearers were Leo Nagel, Forest D. Kelly, Harold Salisbury, Donald Gilster, Leslie Livingood, and Leland Cornwall.
She was born August 24, 1899 in Clayton County to John and Emma (Gilster) Schaeffers. She married Fred Broszeit,Sr. November 16, 1921. She was educated in the Watson School and was a housewife. She made her home with her son, Fred, Jr.and his family when they lived on their farm a half mile east of Rossville,and later moving to Frankville when Junior operated a gas station and repair shop.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Floyd, Orville, and Dayton; four sisters, Alice, Blanche, Louise, and Mrs. Axel (Elma) Werner; a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Betty) Thornton, and her husband.
Surviving is a daughter Mrs. Ray (Leola) Sawvell of Giard; a son Fred, Jr. of Frankville, a brother Earl Gilster of Waukon, 11 grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
