Zoll Rites at St. Mary's Church

Funeral services for Emmet Zoll, 84, of Waukon who died at Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital Dec. 29 were held Friday, Dec. 31 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic church, Hanover. The Rev W. A. Goltz officiated and burial was in St. Patrick cemetery.

A lifelong resident of Allamakee county, he was born Nov. 30, 1892 to Mr. and Mrs. William Zoll of Waukon. He married Irene Ronan Nov. 9, 1921 at Lycurgus church.

Preceded in death by his wife, Zoll is survived by five children; Ann of Portland, OR; Harold of Portland, MI; Mrs. Ken (Helen) Hilts of La Crosse, WI; Daniel of Ventura, CA and Dennis of Metmora, MI. There are 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Cunningham of Longford, ND, and Mrs. Mary Welch of Waukon, and one brother, Francis of Waukon.

Three brothers, Vic, Bill and Joseph and one sister Nora, are deceased.

Pallbearers were John J. McCormick, James McCormick, Joe Gallagher, Bernard Schulte, James Walters and Gene Smith. Rosary was said Dec. 30 at 8 PM at Hanson Funeral home.
