Edward Ford

Edward Ford, 73, of Waukon, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m., at the Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with the Rev. David Schafer officiating.

Casket bearers were Brian Solberg, Kevin McCormick, Roger Boleyn, Bill Clark, Rich Schulte and Norbert Meyer.

Honorary bearers were Clifford Held and Robert Penrod Sr.

Burial was at the Oakland Cemetery. The Martin Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Edward Alto Milo Ford was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Waukon, the son of Andrew and Minnie (Vangen) Ford. He was a lifetime Allamakee County resident.

On June 15, 1946, he was married to Helen King in Waukon.

Edward worked as a welder and mechanic in several area farm implement dealerships.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching boxing on television, cruising in his Ford pickup and family times.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia and Keith Held of Bellingham, Wash., and Sandra and Richard Ludeking of Seaville, N.J., four sons, Rocky and Connie Ford of LaCrosse, Wis., Dennis and Shirley Ford of Aikens, S.C., Darrell and Laina Ford of Waukon, and Terry and Debbie Ford of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Johnson of Waukon; and one brother, Harry and Deve Ford, of Waukon.

Edward Ford was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; a daughter, Debbie; a son, Randy; a brother, Earl; and a sister, Agnes Thompson.
