Cheryl (Threlkeld) Decker

Cheryl Threlkeld, 41, of Postville, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Floral Hills Chapel in Oelwein.

Burial was in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills Chapel Funeral Home of Oelwein handled arrangements.

Cheryl Threlkeld was born Oct. 19, 1959 in Albuquerque, N.M., the daughter of Marvin and Ann (Lloyd) Threlkeld.

She married James Decker, and had worked at TASC Inc. in Waukon since 1991 as an apartment supervisor.

Survivors include her husband, James Decker of Postville; her father, Marvin Threlkeld; her mother, Ann Pagel of Decorah; one daughter, Amanda Worth of Decorah; two sisters, Molly Pagel of Decorah and Karen Fox of Independence; two step-brothers, Marvin Threlkeld, Jr. and Billy Threlkeld, both of Ariz.; and one granddaughter, Mara Schnuelle.

Cheryl Threlkeld was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Threlkeld in April 1980 and by her stepfather, Robert Pagel in Dec. 1998.
