MCKEE, ORRBEEN, PAPE, DOLPIN

Funeral services were held January 24 at 2:30 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Lansing for John Thomas McKee, formerly of Lansing, who passed away Thursday, January 22, at his home near Waukon. He had been in ill health for several years. Rev. J. H. Preus was in charge of the final rites. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing.

Mr. McKee was the son of George and Lavina McKee, now deceased, early settlers in Allamakee county. He was born August 9, 1885 north of Lansing and went to the Van Cooly school. He spent his life farming in this county.

He was united in marriage to Florence Orrbeen on March 4, 1908 and to this union were born six children, namely, Francis J. of New Albin, Arthur L. of Lansing, Ralph L. of Seattle, Washington, Everett C. of Postville, Edwin L. of Waukon and Laila (Mrs. Lyle Pape) of Luana. He also leaves to mourn his passing, one granddaughter, seven grandsons, a sister, Mrs. Minnie Dolpin of Flint, Michigan; two brothers, James of Lansing and William of Doshman, Washington.

Preceding him in death were his parents, six sisters and a grandson.
