Ellen Mullaney was born May 4, 1927 in Waukon to Thomas Mullaney Sr. and Mae Mullaney.

She graduated from St. Patrick's High School and attended the licensed vocational nursing program at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

She was a retired LVN and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Rosary Society and St. Theresa Study Club.

Ellen died Sunday, June 11, 1995 at St. Francis Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. She was 67.

Surviving are two sisters, Loretta Showers of Cedar Rapids and Mary Pat Riehle of Santa Maria, CA.

A brother Thomas preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, at St. Patrick's with the Rev. Monsignor Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with arrangements by Hanson Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Jim and John Campbell, James and Leo Byrnes, William Welsh and John Larkin.

Ellen Mullaney, 68, died Sunday, June 11, 1995, in St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Waukon. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hanson Funeral Home, where there will be a Scripture service at 4:30, military service at 5 and rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Survivors include two sisters, Loretta Showers of Cedar Rapids and Pat Riehle of Santa Monica, Calif.
