Funeral services for Miss Josephine Smeby were held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from the Old West Paint Creek church with the Rev. E.O. Baalson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Josephine Smeby was born in Paint Creek township on April 8, 1878 to John and Ingeborg Medhus Smeby and passed away at the Good Samaritan Home on April 21. She was the last of her immediate family leaving nieces and nephews. Martin Bros. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
