Word was received by relatives here of the death of Leonard Thimmesch at Los Angeles, Calif. on Monday, April 19th. He was born in Allamakee County on June 19, 1905, a son of Mr. and Mrs Nick Thimmesch.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his former wife, Mrs. Vernie Thimmesch, Cedar Rapids; three daughters: Mrs. Richard (Lafona) Orr, Lodi, Wis.; Mrs. Kirby (Ramona) Bailey, Norfolk, Neb.; and Mrs. Marren (Jarla) Feltson, Cedar Rapids and 7 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Leslie (Gladys) Dresselhaus, New Albin; three brothers, Gregor, Henry, New Albin and Joe, Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, who died in infancy and one sister, Mrs. Louis (Tillie) Hammell.
