The death of James E. Kneeskern occurred at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wis., on May 11. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Frankville Presbyterian Church with interment in the Frankville Cemetery. James E. Kneeskern was born in Frankville Township, Winneshiek county on April 27, 1892, a son of James and Anjenetta Allen Kneeskern. He was married on December 26, 26, 1912 to Emma Krogsund at Decorah. They farmed in Winneshiek county and he was an extensive livestock buyer, coming to Waukon in 1945, since which time it has been his home.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Betty Tobin, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was a member of the Frankville Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge.
The Rev. Mr. Wm. Tjaden officiated at the services. Martin Bros Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
