Thomas Kaveny, 55, was born in Waukon, January 27, 1921, to Canute and Mary Daley Kaveny, and died in Chicago, Ill., Tuesday, October 5, 1976. He was a graduate of Alexian Bros. Hospital in Chicago and was an anesthetist in Henrotin Hospital in Chicago.
He never married and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Davis, Waukon, and four sisters, Mrs. Margaret McCartey, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor) O'Meara and Mrs. Bernard (Darlene) Van Han, both of Aurora, Ill.; and Mrs. James (Elaine) Ward of Waukon.
Last rites were held in Chicago on Thursday, October 7 at 9 a.m. The body was brought to Waukon and a wake service was held from St. Patrick's Church on Saturday, Oct. 9, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Msgr. Frederic Heles officiated.
He was a naval reservist and military rites were conducted at graveside.
