Mrs. Harold (Bernice) Fritz, 60, rural Lansing, died on Sunday evening, Nov. 21, at Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital, following a very short illness. Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, at 1;30 p.m. from First Presbyterian Church, Waukon, of which she was a member. The Rev. Mr. Wm. J. Tjaden officiated and burial was in the Lansing Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Fritz was the former Bernice Sommermeyer and was born November 5, 1916 at Aberdeen, So. Dakota to Otto and Elsie Arndt Sommermeyer. She was married on March 26, 1941in Lansing to Harold Fritz who survives with one son, William of Coralville and a daughter Mary of Rochester, Minn.; three brothers, Robert of Madison, Wis.; Orville of Mt.Pleasant, and Milton of New Albin. One brother Roland is deceased.
Martin Bros. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
