Funeral services for Myrtle Miller were held Tuesday, Oct 1, 1985 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. Rev. Terrance Hennesy officiated. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Myrtle Delia Miller was born on a farm near Browerville, MN Dec. 17, 1895, to Isaac and Della (Nickey) Siltman. She died Sept. 28 at the home of her daughter in St. Louis, MO.

Myrtle was baptized in the Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND. She received her education in Portal and Jamestown, ND and taught for two years in the rural districts of ND.

Nov. 3, 1915 she was married to William Harvey Miller. They were the parents of 4 children. Mrs. Miller attended the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville.

She is preceded in death by her husband William in 1970, a brother, Wilson and a step-sister, Maxine. After the death of her husband she moved to Postville where she lived until the spring of 1984.

Surviving are a son, Robert, of Portland, OR; 3 daughters, Catherine (Mrs. Van Caris) of Portland, OR; Loretta, (Mrs. Gerald Krauss) of St. Louis, MO, Lucille (Mrs. Daniel Davis) of Mason City, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 niece and 3 nephews.

Casket bearers were Daniel Davis, Marc Davis, Jon Hasty, Sr., Jon Hasty, Jr., Gerald Krauss and Carl Stone.
