Funeral services for Cloy Miller were held Monday, Oct. 6, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of
arrangements. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Cloy J. Miller, son of Henry C. Miller and Minnie (Kohrs) Miller was born Jan. 8, 1912 near Postville, Iowa. He died Thursday, Oct 2, 1986 in Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

He was baptized on Feb. 28, 1912 by the Rev. Kuehne and confirmed Aug. 6, 1925 by the Rev. Ten. He graduated from Postville High School in 1930.

On August 26, 1937 he married Clara Meyer at West Union. The couple had a daughter. They farmed for 37 years and moved to Postville where he has lived for the past 12 years.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Clara, who died July 17, 1982 and a brother in infancy.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie James of Las Vegas, NV, 2 grandchildren, April and Jeffrey James and a sister, Amy Stirk of West Union.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Casket bearers were David Miller, Milton Schutte, Bruce Meyer, Roger Meyer, Russell Meyer, Dale Mohs.

Honorary casket bearers were Bernard Loftsgard, Leonard Oldag, Walter Schutte and Laraldo Wahls.
