John Frederick Larson died Sunday, Oct. 29 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, where he had been a patient for several weeks. He was born Dec. 25, 1871 in Paint Creek township, a son of Christian and Barbara Larson, and early in life moved with the family to Village Creek which has ever since been his home. His last illness extended over a period of several months, during which he was hospitalized a couple times.
Deceased's mother died in 1923 and he has since made his home with an only surviving sister, Miss Jennie, who will miss the companionship of a kind and thoughtful brother. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mmes. Alex Deremore, Halvor Tollefson, Ole Jacobson and Christian Knudtson. Other survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Old East Paint Creek Church, with Rev. E.O. Baalson officiating and saying the prayers at the graveside in the nearby cemetery. Pall bearers were Harold Gaunitz, Will Doehler, Flay Wilder, Carl Knudtson, Arle Farrason and Fred Kehr.
