GEORGE E. MEIER

Funeral services for George E. Meier were held Friday, January 26, 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Roseville, MN.

George E. Meier, son of George J. and Christine (Sheehy) Meier, was born at Postville, IA October 10, 1922. He died January 22, 1990 at McAllen, TX. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul, MN.

He attended Postville schools and graduated with the class of 1940. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad as a dispatcher for 45 years.

He was married to Margaret Lownsberry in Mason City, IA on April 7, 1947.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are a son Patrick and his wife, Susan, a daughter Marcia and her husband, Robert Brinkhous, a sister, Mrs. Loren (Betty) Meyer and 3 grandchildren, Goeffrey and Christine Meier and Jennifer Brinkhous.
